Transatlantic is ecstatic to announce that English rights in North America to Tanya Lloyd Kyi‘s middle grade novels EMILY POSTS and THE CITY OF LOST CATS have been acquired in a two book deal by Lynne Missen at Tundra/Penguin Random House Canada!

In  EMILY POSTS, which will be published in the winter of 2024, Emily’s the producer for her school’s new podcast, but her plans for middle-school fame and social-media influence are derailed when confident new girl Amelie joins her eighth-grade class.

THE CITY OF LOST CATS, scheduled for the spring of 2025, is a multi-perspective novel featuring a group of cats within an abandoned house, a young girl who stumbles upon them and the plot to demolish the house, as well as two potentially malicious budgies.

Tanya Lloyd Kyi the author of more than thirty books for children and young adults. She is curious about everything from penguins to popcorn, and she has more questions about the world than any scientist could answer. Tanya’s most recent books include Our Green City and Better Connected (written with her daughter, Julia Kyi). Tanya teaches for the University of British Columbia’s School of Creative Writing.
