Eliza Reid is an award-winning writer, public speaker, and cofounder of the acclaimed Iceland Writers Retreat. Eliza grew up near Ottawa, Canada and has lived in Iceland since 2003. She served as first lady of Iceland from August 2016 until July 2024. In 2017, she was named a United Nations Ambassador for Tourism and the Sustainable Development Goals.
