World English-language rights for award-winning Canadian author Kathleen Winter’s next novel have been acquired by Knopf Canada’s Publishing Director, Lynn Henry. Winter is the author of the internationally celebrated novel Annabel, and more recently, Lost in September.
The new novel is inspired by Dorothy Wordsworth’s life and work. Over the past year, Winter has been transcribing previously unpublished journals and diaries penned by Dorothy Wordsworth (sister of the English Romantic poet William Wordsworth), which belong to The Wordsworth Trust in the UK. Winter’s transcriptions will be returned to the Trust’s archives for future public and academic use.

Tentatively titled Undersong, the novel will be published in the Fall of 2021. The deal was arranged by Winter’s agent, Shaun Bradley
