Multiple Transatlantic authors have been nominated for the Atlantic Book Awards! The Atlantic Book Awards are presented annually to thirteen writers who represent the best of Atlantic Canadian writing and publishing. The finalists will be announced Thursday, June 6th in St. John’s, N.L., at the Atlantic Book Awards Gala.

The Boat People by Sharon Bala (McClelland & Stewart) has been shortlisted for the Margaret and John Savage First Book Award for Fiction and the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award. Notes for the Everlost: A Field Guide to Grief  by Kate Inglis (Shambhala Publications) has been shortlisted for the Evelyn Richardson Non-Fiction Award. Hysteria by Elisabeth de Mariaffi (HarperCollins Publishers) has been shortlisted for the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award. And Short for Chameleon by Vicki Grant (HarperCollins Publishers) has been shortlisted for the Ann Connor Brimer Award for Children’s Literature. Congratulations all!
