Lynne Missen at Puffin/Penguin Random House Canada has acquired English rights in North America to Rachelle Delaney’s new middle grade novel, ALICE FLECK’S RECIPES FOR DISASTER, and a second untitled novel. Alice Fleck loves to cook, and has assisted her culinary historian father in recreating meals from the past all her life. She unexpectedly ends up as a contestant on the reality cooking show Culinary Combat – hosted by the fierce Gordon-Ramsey-style judge Tom Truffleman – where she faces the dual challenges of trying to win the competition, and solve the mystery of who is sabotaging the show.
