Samantha Haywood, President of Transatlantic Agency is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Bennett has been promoted to Senior Agent at Transatlantic Agency. Having joined Transatlantic as Literary Agent in July 2018, Elizabeth has grown an important and thriving client list of children’s and YA authors and illustrators including Kayla Miller, Amy Parks, Vicky Fang and Cyndi Marko.
Says Haywood: “Elizabeth is a wonderful colleague and extremely talented agent. She has a sharp and experienced eye at discovering great talent and has quickly mastered the balancing act required in a thriving client list.”
Elizabeth has spent her career in the children’s publishing industry with positions in marketing, product development and editorial at such companies as Scholastic, Readers Digest and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Prior to joining the Jill Corcoran Agency in 2017, she was an Executive Editor at HMH where she focused on brand-forward publishing around classic properties like Curious George, Little Blue Truck and The Little Prince. During her tenure she established an IP program launching several middle grade series including The Next Best Junior Chef, Survivor Diaries, and Junior Ninja Champion. Elizabeth moved to Transatlantic in 2018 when the two agencies merged. She continues to represent a balanced list of talented picture book, graphic novel, middle grade and YA authors and illustrators.
