In 2020, Jessica Elisheva Emerson’s forthcoming debut novel from the verb: to know won second place in the First Pages Prize and was a finalist in the Tucson Festival of Books Literary Awards. Her stories have appeared in literary journals including The Beloit Fiction JournalMidwestern GothicDrash and Crucible, and she’s also a published poet and produced playwright. She graduated from Antioch University with a Master’s of Fine Arts in writing and the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism, and is the inaugural director of the progressive Jewish Emergent Network. Obsessed with stories, pie, Scotch, and working towards a better world, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.
