Elizabeth Kribs at Penguin Random House Canada has acquired world rights to HOW TO PROMENADE WITH A PYTHON (AND NOT GET EATEN) by Rachel Poliquin, an instructional manual written by a cockroach (named Celeste) that explains how a child might enjoy a moonlit promenade with a deadly reticulated python named Frank, and a second untitled book in the Polite Predator Series, in a pre-empt. The books will be illustrated by HEY GRANDUDE illustrator Kathryn Durst and the first book will publish in winter 2021. Amy Tompkins at the Transatlantic Agency represented the author, and Anne Moore Armstrong of the Bright Agency represented the illustrator.
