Dundurn Press’s associate publisher Kathryn Lane has acquired world English rights to Sylvia McNicoll’s What the Dog Knows. The middle-grade novel is described as the story of a tween girl’s dog who returns from the afterlife with one mission, to prevent her from drowning on July 4. Publication is expected for summer 2022. The deal was arranged by Amy Tompkins.
