Kim Izzo is an award-winning screenwriter, author, and journalist. In 2021, her coming-of-age dramedy feature, Boob Job, was optioned by Buffalo Gal Pictures. Kim’s original romcom script, A Sweet Christmas Romance, was greenlit on first draft and was produced in 2019, airing that November on Lifetime.

In 2016, Kim was a winner of the prestigious Humanitas Prize: New Voices Award and was subsequently mentored by Emmy-Award winning showrunner David Shore. That same year she was also a recipient of the Telefilm Canada New Voices Award. In 2015, her original feature
dramatic thriller, The Shame Sisters, was selected for development by the National Screen Institute’s Script-to-Screen program. Kim is currently developing several television and feature film projects including two based on her existing intellectual property.

Kim is also the author of three novels – the best-selling romantic comedy, The Jane Austen Marriage Manual, the time-travel rom-com, My Life in Black & White, and the historic romance thriller, Seven Days in May. She is also the co-author of two international best-selling non-fiction guides, The Fabulous Girl’s Guide to Decorum and The Fabulous Girl’s Guide to Grace Under Pressure. To promote her books Kim has appeared on Oprah!, The Today Show and numerous other television, print, and radio outlets. She is working on completing her fourth novel.

Kim is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre Prime Time Television Program as well as York University Film School.
