Born and raised in western Canada, Katelyn Petersen lives in Edmonton with her husband and their beloved guinea pig, Gus. Katelyn holds a joint Ph.D. in German Languages, Literature, and Linguistics from the University of Alberta and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. With a background in international relations, technology development, and higher education, Katelyn currently works for a local start-up designing synthetic futures. An avid, if fiercely recreational runner, when she’s not at work or writing, Katelyn can be found on the roads, trails, and treadmills in and around Edmonton, or at work on her memoir, Dispatches from the Middle of the Pack: The Pursuit of Enough in a Sport of Extremes.
