Congratulations to Rachel Poliquin, Paul Harbridge, Sigmund Brouwer, Rachelle Delaney, Polly Horvath, Heather Smith and Patricia Miller-Schroeder, who are all 2022 Willow Awards finalists!

Each year, Saskatchewan children and youth vote for the Willow Award recipients from finalists nominated in three award categories, the Shining Willow Award for books written for young readers, the Diamond Willow Award for books written for upper elementary readers, and the Snow Willow Award for books written for readers in grades 7 & up, as part of the Saskatchewan Young Readers’ Choice Awards.

THE STRANGEST THING IN THE SEA by Rachel Poliquin and illustrated by Byron Eggenschwiler (Kids Can Press) and OUT INTO THE BIG WIDE LAKE by Paul Harbridge and illustrated by Josée Bisaillon (Tundra Books) are Shining Willow finalists!  Rachel Poliquin and Paul Harbridge are represented by Amy Tompkins.

CLAN by Sigmund Brouwer (Tundra Books) and  ALICE FLECK’S RECIPES FOR DISASTER by Rachelle Delaney (Puffin Canada) are Daimon Willow finalists! Sigmund and Rachelle are represented by Amy Tompkins.

PINE ISLAND HOME by Polly Horvath (Puffin Canada), BARRY SQUIRES, FULL TILT by Heather Smith (Tundra Books) and  SISTERS OF THE WOLF by Patricia Miller-Schroeder (Dundurn Press) are Snow Willow Finalists!
