Anne Shone at Scholastic Canada acquired world rights to Autumn Bird and the Runaway, a middle grade novel told in alternating narratives by Melanie Florence (Missing Nimama) and Richard Scrimger (Downside Up) about two kids from different worlds whose unexpected friendship is a lens to explore identity and compassion. Publication is set for summer 2022; Amy Tompkins at the Transatlantic Agency represented Florence and Hilary McMahon of Westwood Creative Artists represented Scrimger in the deal.
