The Red Cedar Book Awards is British Columbia’s reader’s choice award, in which thousands of children between grades 4 and 7 from across BC read from nominated lists of fiction and non-fiction and vote for their favourites in April of each year.
GERMY SCIENCE by Edward Kay (Kids Can Press), illustrated by Mike Shiell, was shortlisted for the Hackmatack Nonfiction Award, which recognizes English language nonfiction for grades four to six. Edward Kay is an award-winning author and screenwriter for both children and adults. He lives in Toronto, Ontario. Edward is represented by Amy Tompkins.
