“Kijiji BFF” by Sara Mang Selected as a Finalist for the 2022 Pen Canada New Voices Award! 

 The annual RBC PEN Canada 2022 New Voices Award aims to encourage new writing and to provide a space where unpublished Canadian writers can submit short stories, creative non-fiction, journalism, and poetry. The RBC PEN Canada New Voices Award is generously funded by the RBC Emerging Artists Project.

“Kijiji BFF” by Sara Mang has been shortlisted for the 2022 Pen Canada New Voices Award! Sara is a writer of fiction, poetry and essays whose work has appeared in journals across Canada, the US, and the UK. In 2022, her short fiction was nominated for a National Magazine Award, winner of The Malahat Review’s Open Season Award, and placed second in The Toronto Star Short Story Prize. She has a Bachelor of Science from The Royal Military College of Canada and a Master of Fine Arts from The University of British Columbia. She is an alumni of the Disquiet Literary Program in Lisbon, Portugal, the Banff Centre Writing Studio Program, and the Middlebury Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference.

Sara is represented by Samantha Haywood.
