Mikhael Klassen-Kay is a Toronto-based writer. He is a graduate of Rosedale Heights School of the Arts, where he studied creative writing, drama and vocal music. During his third year at Rosedale, Mikhael had his one act play “Pickel in a Haystack” performed in the school’s annual fringe festival.

At present, Mikhael is earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto, where he is minoring in Creativity in Society and honing his fictive and poetic writing skills.

Mikhael’s work explores themes of queerness and neurodiversity through a darkly comedic lens. He is a lifelong fan of the horror genre, and takes particular interest in historical gothic fiction.

Mikhael is represented by Amy Tompkins.
