We are thrilled to announce that Silver Birch Award-winning author Sylvia McNicoll’s middle grade novel BLUE TO THE SKY, has been acquired by Barry Jowett at Dancing Cat Books (children’s imprint of Cormorant Books) for publication in April of 2024!
BLUE TO THE SKY begins after six years of homeschooling following her last anaphylactic reaction, as Ella returns to sixth grade with the strong hope of growing out of her dairy allergy and of conquering her fear of public speaking so that she can share her passion for poetry.
Amy Tompkins handled the deal for English rights in North America.
Sylvia McNicoll has written over thirty-five novels for young audiences, including Body Swap and the Great Mistake Mystery series, inspired by her own errors and dog walks with her grandchildren. She lives in Burlington, Ontario.
