Menaka Raman-Wilms is a writer and journalist based in Toronto. She’s the host of The Decibel, the daily news podcast from The Globe and Mail. Previously, Menaka was a reporter in The Globe’s Ottawa bureau, and an associate producer at CBC Radio.
Her first novel, THE ROOFTOP GARDEN, was longlisted for the 2023 Giller Prize. In 2019, Menaka’s story Black Coffee was shortlisted for the CBC short story prize, and in 2012 her story Skin won Room Magazine’s fiction contest. She’s also a classically trained singer.
