Chris is an award-winning Creative Strategist, founder of their own creative branding agency, storyteller, and popular TikToker. Some may even know Chris as the person who asked for the gayest cake ever to celebrate their marriage to their husband, Jared. They live in Ontario, Canada, with their own menagerie of animals.
Chris frequently speaks with primary grade school groups and their teachers. To date, they have spoken to hundreds of teachers and thousands of students across Ontario. So it might surprise people that, for a long time, Chris felt held back — like they were unable to pursue their passions as freely as they wanted to.
That was then. Now, they’re living authentically and unapologetically. Since learning to embrace what they call their inner unicorn, they’ve founded the Unicorn Rebellion, a creative branding agency that helps organizations discover their brilliant truth. Chris performs as Ladybird Fancypants, a drag queen storyteller. Their shows regularly receive thousands of views on TikTok.
Chris is the author and illustrator of Guinea Pigs Don’t Wear Pants, an empowering and whimsical picture book that celebrates individuality across the rainbow-hued spectrum. Starring a menagerie of animals, Guinea Pigs Don’t Wear Pants is the type of life-affirming book that Chris wished they had as a queer youth growing up in rural Ontario.
