Sonya is a former entertainment reporter turned communications professional who has now followed her dream of telling South Asian character-driven stories as an Author. Her debut rom-com, SARI, NOT SARI, debuted at number seven on the Canadian Fiction Charts AND number seven on the Canadian Romance Charts, alongside Emily Henry, Ali Hazelwood and Colleen Hoover. Singh is also making history as one of the first South Asian screenwriters for the Hallmark Channel with her holiday movie tentatively titled Christmas Spice romcom, coming this fall.  SARI, NOT SARI (Simon & Schuster Canada and UK) is an ode to her personal dating experiences, during which she honed the art of writing the perfect break-up email/text.
