Life has taken Charles Beyl from studying Fine Art and Graphic Design at Washington State University; to being a designer, illustrator and art director in Alexandria, VA; to being an illustrator and educator (with a wonderful stop at Syracuse University for grad school) in Lancaster, PA. Charles currently lives in Sugar Land, Texas and continues to create humorous illustrations while wrangling his pug, Peaches and keeping an eye out for snakes and alligators. When Charles is not in his studio you can find him teaching at the University of Houston in their Digital Media Department or at the Houston Community College in their Digital Communications Department.
For twenty years Charles’ editorial cartoons appeared in Lancaster Newspaper’s Sunday News, Lancaster, PA.
From 1995 to 2015 Charles worked with an amazing group of students and faculty at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design in Lancaster, PA.
